Welcome!

For a family home and work for people with cognitive disabilities in Romania.

The Noah Association was founded in Tirol in 2013. Its goal is to support the Noe Partium initiative in Romania financially and ideally to run a residential home and day care for people with disabilities. In Romania, there are very few residential places, work and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Thanks to the tireless commitment of the members of Noe Partium, the "House of Smiles" was opened in Mikula (a village with 3000 inhabitants) in Satu Mare county in October 2017. Here, ten young people with cognitive disabilities receive professional support and employment. In November 2020, the ground was broken for a residential home for ten people.

The people who are admitted here are embedded in a community that allows them to lead a self-determined and varied life.

State support for facilities for people with disabilities is very low in Romania. The "House of Smiles" is supported by great voluntary commitment, proceeds from self-made products in the workshop and garden, and donations.

The Noah Association strives to promote this project as much as possible. We are grateful for any support we receive for this.
